Malayalam actor Mammooty will not feature in 'Santa Claus'

Director Thomas Sebastian who is geared up for his second movie in the title 'Santa Claus' has made it clear that he will not be having Megastar Mammootty doing a character in the movie. The movie will have a rare pair of Biju Menon and Pratap Pothen combination in the lead. The movie to be shot entirely in Dubai, will be scripted by Nishad Koya who had earlier penned 'Ordinary' and 'Friday'. Thomas Sebastian will be starting the shoot only by August, so that they can release this movie in December.

Before 'Santa Claus' , the scriptwriter and director will be joining together for another that will kick start by June.

Malayalam film director Vasudev Sanal will make a comeback as a director in the film 'M3'

Vasudev Sanal, the director of the super hit movie 'Priyam' is now plans to make a comeback with second film titled 'M3'. The film is a thriler which focuses upon various complexities of human life. M3 stands for Man, Money and Mystery.

The film 'M3' will feature Lal and Sreenivasan in lead roles. Arun Gopinath, Anish Francis along with Praveen Kumar will together write the script for the film.

The movie is to be produced by Biju John under the banner Take one entertaintments. Rajeev Vijay handles cinematography. The shooting of the movie will start in Cochin soon.

Ilayaraja to compose music for Mysskin’s next

Director Mysskin is all set to begin his first production venture titled Onnayum Aatumkuttiyum. The latest update is that Music Maestro Illayaraja has been roped in as music director for the film.

Mysskin has said that his home production banner Lone Wolf will be making high standard films. Now it's on track as Isal Gnani Ilayaraja to compose tunes for Onnayum Aatumkuttiyum. The film will introduce fresh faces to kollywood.

Jilla shooting starts in May

Ilayathalapathy Vijay is all set to make his Malayalam debut through Jilla. This movie has also got Malayalam super star Mohanlal. Jilla will be a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual film under debutant Nesan’s direction.

Mohanlal officially declared about Jilla through a private social networking site. He said, “Hello everyone...There has been a lot of rumors spreading regarding my upcoming projects and i would like to make this clear. I shall be doing a Tamil Movie along with Mr. Vijay scheduled to start by May, But before that i shall be doing a Malayalam Movie, of which the discussions are going on. Other than these two, no other confirmed projects as of now.”

Jilla will also have Kajal Agarwal and Lakshmi Rai as main female leads and Santhanam and Nassar will play their prominent roles. D.Imman has been finalized for music direction and this film is being produced by R.B.Chowdary under Super Good Films.

Viswaroopam ban lifted in Malaysia

Finally this news will give some relief to Kamal Hassan and his fans. Malaysian Home Ministry has lifted its ban on Viswaroopam. This delights the ethnic Indians and Kamal Hassan in Malaysia.

Though the movie was scheduled for its release on January 28, and was banned for its anti religious elements in the film. The ban had led to the circulation of illegal DVDs among ethnic Indians there keen to see the movie.

Malaysian Film Censorship Board (MFCB) had initially approved for its screening but within 24 hours the screening was cancelled and Home Ministry has given orders to ban the film in Malaysia.

It is well known news that Viswaroopam 2 is almost completing its shooting part. Viswaroopam-2 is also directed and produced by Kamal Hassan with the same cast Andrea, Pooja Kumar and Rahul Bose.

Kollywood top heroes croons for a song
