Santhanam finds his pair for Ya Ya

Kaadal Solla Vandhen fame Meghana Raj is roped in as female lead against Santhanam. This actress was seen in very few movies and went to seek a better career in Malayalam, and now she want to get back to Kollywood.

The actress is set to play the leading lady alongside Santhanam in Ya Ya. The film also casts Mirchi Shiva as the other lead along with Power Star Sreenivasan who is playing a prominent role in this film.

Meghana Raj was last seen in 2010 in Kadal Solla Vandhen as Sandhya and now, she is also busy with Nimirndhu Nil. Ya Ya will be a complete comedy genre and this movie is directed by debutant Rajashekar.

Kamal Hassan shows his respect

Kamal Hassan once again showed his respect to Ilayaraja. Recently, Ilayaraja was recording a song to give a tribute to Charlie Chaplin for a Hindi movie Happi. But he was unable to get the expected result from the singer. He asked his assistant to call Kamal Hassan.

Within one hour Kamal Hassan reached the studio and recorded that song in just less than hour. Director Bhavana said, “It all happened in a flash. We were in Chennai to record this amazing composition titled 'Zindagi Dish' written by Jaideep Sahni. Raja sir (Ilayaraja) was not getting what he wanted. The singer, who was assigned to do the job, wasn't getting it right. Raja sir asked his assistant to contact Kamalji. Within no time Kamalji was in the studio. It took him half an hour to record the song."

This shows his respect towards his gurus and Kamal Hassan said, “My respect for certain people goes beyond the work place. Shivaji Ganesan, K. Balachander and Ilayaraja are to me, idols. And if they call, I run. As simple as that.”

This versatile actor is busy with Viswaroopam-2 which is likely to release next year. Kamal Hassan also announced the title his next flick with Hollywood producer Barrie M Osborne as All are Kin.

Nandhini's next Tamil film an investigative thriller

Nandhini J.S., one of the few women filmmakers in Tamil, is all set to helm an investigative thriller, expect to hit theatres around 2013 end.

"It's official! My second Tamil film, an investigative thriller, will be produced by Libra Productions. Release by the end of 2013," tweeted Nandhini.

"Libra Productions producer is Mr. Ravindar Chandrasekaran. An awesome guy who wants to make trendsetting films with out-of-the-box stories," added the filmmaker, who won a Tamil Nadu state award for her debut Tamil romantic-comedy "Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru".

Two other Tamil films produced by Chandrasekaran are currently on floors - "Sutta Kadhai" and "Nalanum Nandhiniyum".

Kedi Billa Kiladi Ranga postponed again

Kedi Billa Kiladi Ranga is facing a tough time as the movie is postponed to April. Earlier they said it was Pongal release and later, due to some legal issues the release was postponed to February.

Studio Green is facing some legal issues and this is one of the reason for Kedi Billa Kiladi Ranga’s delay. Even the audio release was cancelled and audio songs are broadcasted in few local FM stations. Later KBKR was set for its release on February 21 but as again postponed to April.

Kedi Billa Kiladi Ranga is a romantic comedy film directed and produced by Pandiraj. KBKR has got Vimal, Sivakarthikeyan in main leads. Bindu Madhavi and Regina Cassandra are playing female leads in the film. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed music and this movie is distributed by Studio Green.

Don't compare Settai with Delhi Belly: Producer

Producer of Settai requested fans, not to compare with the original Hindi film Delhi Belly. He also said Settai is not complete remake from its original version. The filmmakers are more confident on this film and said, this film has undergone few changes which will entertain all categories of audiences compared to Hindi version.

Settai will be a complete comedy caper directed by R.Kannan. The film will be dubbed in Telugu as Naughty Boys. Neetu Chandra sizzles for a special song.

Settai has got a star cast of Arya, Santhanam, Premji as male leads and Anjali, Hansika as female leads. Nasser plays a prominent role. SS.Thaman composed the music and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddarth Roy Kapur under UTV Motion Pictures.

Paradesi releases on March 1st

After a long wait and couple of postpones, Bala’s Paradesi is all set for its release on March 1st. Earlier Paradesi was scheduled on February 15th. But the movie has got unexpected publicity and was sent for a special screening at Cannes Film Festival.

Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap came forward to distribute this film in North India with Hindi, English subtitles. The story is based on an English novel Red Tea (by Paul Harris Daniel).

The film stars Adharvaa Murali, Vedhika Kumar, Dhansika and Uma Riyaz Khan. Most of the shoot for Paradesi took place in Salur, Manamadurai in Sivagangai district, Munnar, Talaiyar in Kerala, and the forest areas in Theni district. G.V. Prakash Kumar has composed the music for the film, which has cinematography by Chezhiyan.

Rajnikanth gift to his fan

It is a well known fact that Superstar Rajnikanth has got millions of fans in Tamilnadu and all over the world. He would probably get loads of invitations to attend various meetings, special events etc. The crowd would go mad if they see Superstar Rajnikanth in movies as well as in real life.

Recently, Rajnikanth surprised everyone by attending his fan’s wedding and all the invitees are burst with happiness and anxiety as they got chance to see and take few photographs with Superstar Rajnikanth. Sholingar N Ravi is the head of the Rajni fan club in Vellore. He invited Rajnikanth for his brother’s marriage and he thought Rajnikanth will not attend the marriage. But his guess was wrong and Rajnikanth made a surprise visit and blessed the newly married couple.

Rajnikanth was last seen in Enthiran in 2010. After that he signed in two gigantic films Rana and Kochadaiyaan, due to his health factors there was a huge delay in progress of the project and Kochadaiyaan is making its way to release in this year. Hollywood actor in Singam 2

After the massive hit of Singam, Suriya was busy with sequel of Singam 2. Director Hari is also working hard for their international schedule. Now, one of the producers of the film, Prabhu from Studio Green announced that Singam 2 will have a Hollywood actor Danny Sapani (Trance fame). He will be seen as villain in Singam-2.

Prabhu from Studio Green also tweeted, “The Hollywood actor playing baddie in Suriya’s Singam-2 is Danny Sapani.” This Hollywood actor is now busy with his upcoming flick Trance, directed by academy award winner Danny Boyle.

Suriya along with Anushka and Hansika will be playing the lead roles in Singam 2, which will be dubbed into Telugu as Yamudu 2. Devi Sri Prasad is ready with his tunes for Singam 2 and cinematography is by Priyan.

Romance First Look launched

Telugu upcoming movie titled Romance starring Prince in the lead role had its first look launched in Ramanaidu studios on 14^th February on the eve of Valentines Day.

Dialogue writer Swamy is wielding the megaphone for the film and SKN and G Srinivas Rao are producing this medium budget film on the banner of Good Cinema group. Director Maruthi of Ee Rojullo and Bus Stop fame is the presenter of the flick while Sai Karthik is roped in to provide the musical scores for the film and J Prabhakar Reddy is cranking the camera.

Romance casting newcomers Dimple Chopda and Manasa as the female leads is expected to hit the screens in summer 2013.

NTR in Ramudu-Bheemudu remake?

Here is the latest buzz making rounds that Young Tiger Jr.NTR will be stepping into the shoes of his grand father and legendary actor late NTR for the remake of super hit film  ‘Ramudu Bheemudu’.

Recently, producer Ramanaidu has registered the title Ramudu-Bheemudu again for Suresh Productions banner and this made the buzz strong that NTR will be playing the lead donning dual roles.

Ramanaidu has expressed his desire many a times that he likes to remake the classic and now, looks like the plans are on. However, let’s wait for an official announcement regarding the further details of this prestigious movie including the cast and crew.

Having earned a reputation as an item girl, Brazilian model-turned-actress Nathalia Kaur has finally decided to say 'no' to item numbers and 'yes' to acting. She is very likely to sign on the dotted line for her acting assignments soon.

"I have finally decided to stop doing item numbers and concentrate on my acting. I've enjoyed my time dancing to different songs and I feel it is time for me to prove my acting prowess. I am in talks for films in Hindi and Telugu, which I'm likely to sign soon," Nathalia said.

Her last item number is from Nagarjuna's  upcoming Telugu action-drama "Bhai".

"It was an honour to dance with Nagarjuna sir. I couldn't say no to dance with him because it is a dream for any actor to share the screen space with him. I'm also glad that this will be my last item number," she said.

Nathalia considers working in the southern film industry most enjoyable.

"I really enjoy working in south because of the environment. Everything is very well organised here and everybody on sets is truly professional in their attitude as well as work," she added.

Asked if she finds item numbers helpful for an actor, she said: "Item numbers basically help in connecting with a larger audience instantly. Most of the times any actor who has grooved to a popular item number, is easily identified wherever she goes."

Simbhu croons for Back Bench Student

Kollywood actor Simbu has crooned for a special song in forthcoming bilingual Telugu Tamil film Back Bench Student with a tagline Vaadi break up - love story.

Simbhu has rendered for a power mix song 'Jagada Jagada' and the team says that the song is a tribute to Ilayaraja scored Geethanjali 'Jagada Jagada' song. Simbhu is glad that he has sung for the number composed by Sunil Kashyap and penned by lyricist Sira Sree.

The film casts Mahath Raghavendra, Piya Bhaajpai and Archana Kavi in the lead roles. Back Bench Student introduces Mahath Raghavendra to Tollywood. Dr.M.V.K Reddy is producing the film under Shirdi Sai Combines banner while Madhura Sridhar is wielding the megaphone

abardasth censored; gets U/A

Jabardasth starring Siddharth and Samantha in the lead roles is gearing up for a release on a grand scale on February 22.

In this regard, the film has wrapped up the censor formalities and has cleared with U/A certificate from the censor Board. The run time of Jabardasth is 2 Hrs 30 Minutes and the movie is carrying good expectations among the audiences.

The romantic comedy entertainer with ample mass elements is directed by Nandini Reddy and produced by Bellamkonda Suresh on the banner of Sri Sai Ganesh Productions banner.
