Srikanth Addala to direct Varun Tej

Director Srikanth Addala who has two successful films Kotha Bangaru Lokam and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu to his credit is set to launch actor Naga Babu’s son Varun Tej to Tollywood.

If the buzz is to be believed, Srikanth Addala is currently working on a script for Varun Tej. The pre-production works of the film will commence shortly and the big project will be produced by Aswini Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies banner.

Varun Tej looks good and he has been undergoing training in acting for his debut. This Srikanth Addala- Aswini Dutt movie is touted to be a youthful romantic entertainer. An announcement from the producer regarding the details of the film is expected shortly.

Bellamkonda Sreenivas, Samantha film begins

Producer Bellamkonda Suresh’s son Bellamkonda Sreenivas debut movie has commenced the shooting. VV Vinayak will launch the actor in Tollywood while Samantha is zeroed in as the leading lady.

On the occasion of grand launch on 15^th February in Hyderabad, the unit members have unveiled the photoshoot pics of the lead stars. This Bellamkonda Suresh’s production film has been launched on a grand scale which is being made on Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions banner.

Chota K Naidu is the cinematographer for the film and Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer. The film is touted to be a youthful action entertainer.

Ram in Hanu Raghavapudi direction

Energetic Star Ram has given nod to director Hanu Raghavapudi for a new film as per the latest reports. Hanu Raghavapudi has earlier directed Andhala Rakshasi film but the movie didn’t fare well at the Box-Office.

Now, looks like the director grabbed a second chance to direct Ram for a new film. Parachuri Prasad is expected to produce the film on United Movies banner. Other details of the cast and crew along with a formal announcement on the film are to be announced.

Meanwhile, Ram has signed up the remake of Bol Bachchan film to be directed by Vijayabhaskar and produced by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore and Suresh Babu jointly. The multistarrer film also has Venkatesh as the other lead.

RGV to direct Sharwanand

Eccentric filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is planning for a sequel to his hit film Satya and the latest buzz is he is set to introduce Sharwanand to Bollywood with this film.

It is known that the prequel introduced J D Chakravarthy to Bollywood as the lead actor while the critical-acclaimed movie also had Urmila and Manoj Bajpai in central roles. Sharwanand has notable films to his career like Gamyam, Prasthanam, Andari Bandhuvaya, Journey and now he is set for an impressive debut in B-Town.

The film is expected to have a simultaneous release in Telugu. More details on Satya sequel are awaited.

Multi talented actor Anoop Menon and director V K Prakash has turned thick buddies after they found big hits in 'Beautiful' and 'Trivandrum Lodge'. And the enthusiastic supporters have started announcing plenty of projects in their name though they have little clues about the projects.

But the director has recently made it clear that he is getting ready to stat a new horror movie, his second attempt after 'Moonnamathoral' which didn't go well with the audience. Titled 'Garudapuranam', this will be more like a sequel to 'Sreekrishnaparunthu', a Mohanlal movie which successfully created fans for the genre with its intelligent use of mantras and thantras with the popular myths .

We can expect this film to be a great hit from Anoop Menon's side.

The new 'Garudapuranam will be scripted by Arjunan Mohanan while its screenplay will be by Paarthan Mohanan. The movie will have Anoop Menon donning a double role which will have the actor passing through much of the emotions.'Garudapruranam will have the new metro backdrop, with the scripts matching the logic of the new generation audience.

Gopika is back to the Mollywood after a short break. She makes her appearance with her lucky pair Jayaram in the movie titled 'Bharya Athra Pora'.

One of the highlights of this movie is that the director, scenarist, hero and heroine of 'Veruthe Oru Bharya' are joining again for this project. This film is scripted by K Girishkumar and directed by Akku Akbar.Jibu Jacob is the cameraman of this film produced by Anto Joseph. The main location is Thrissur.

Set in a family background, the film casts Jayaram as a school teacher and Gopika as a bank employee. Saikumar, Aju Varghese, Sunil Sugatha, Balachandran Chullikad, Sanju, Jayaraj Varier, Kalabhavan Salim, Reena Basheer are the other main actors.

Veteran actor Mamukoya sings for a movie

And its time for the veteran actor to try his hands in the mainstreams of Singing in the films.The veteran star has recently crooned a song for the movie 'Breaking News, Live ' directed by Sudher Ambalapad. The song starting with the lines 'Kanjoos'has been canned with the actor and a bunch of dancers and will be used as a promotional video. The visuals of this fun song is already in the net.

After the stalwarts of Mollywood like Mammootty, Mohanlal and Dileep trying a hand in playback singing with acceptable success, it seems that it is now the turn of senior artist Mamukoya.

Anand Appugol, producer of  KVSR is not interested to take in profits from his blockbuster venture.  He is more interested to see that the profits to be distributed for needy.  He is planning a big memorial for Raayanna and Kiththoor Rani Chennamma in Belgaum. He has earmarked Rs. 10 crores of the profit after the film is fully exploited in India and abroad.

KVSR has the potentiality to touch Rs. 100 crores including revenues from the dubbed versions and business in abroad, says Anand Appugol.

The film will be dubbed in six languages.

Appugol has am ambition to set up a fully equipped latest technology Kalyana Mantapa and organize 1001 mass marriages in it, A massive home for aged and orphans are his other plans from the earnings.

The concession in admission rates in theatres has enabled nearly 50 lakh students from various school and colleges to watch "KVSR"."I am expecting nearly one crores students in Karnataka to watch this film' said Appugol.

Anand Appugol, producer of the blockbuster film "Kranti Veera Sangolli Raayanna'says that his relationship with Challenging Star  is on an elevating graph since he launched the film. "Each stages of production I saw his great commitment to the project and later when the film was released I was able to see  the huge fan following of the actor and how closely he moves with his fans. I have also become a huge fan of Darshan sir' said Anand Appugol.  He was speaking about the Darshan in a press meet organised to announce the date of 100 days celebrations.
 Anand Appugol said that as the film distributor H.D.Gangaraj has already revealed, his film has earned the highest collections in the Kannada film industry.   The 110 day celebrations will be held on February 22 in Bengaluru. Anand Appugol's birth day falls on February 22.
 Anand Appugol also announced that he is launch another big budget film with Darshan on August 15. The press meet had many artists who had worked for the film and also director Naganna and his team of technicians.

The music launch of Shivaraj Kumar starrer "Bhajarangi' directed by Harsha and produced by Nataraj started today morning in Ashwini Recording Studios.  Shivaraj Kumar and Ms. Geetha Shivaraj Kumar was present along with many well wishers of the producer and director.
Arjun Janya is the music director of the film.
Harsha has written the story and script besides directing the film. Of course he will also be choreographing the dance sequences of the film.
Talking about "Bhajarangi', director Harsha said that the script of the film is itself out of the box and the film will have both rural and urban outlook. I did not want Shivanna to have a six pack abs, but the actor determined to tone up his body once he heard the full script for me.  His excitement in preparing for the role has increasing my responsibility' says Harsha.
Shivaraj Kumar said that he was eagerly looking forward for the shooting of the film as Harsha's script has realistic and commercial touch.
There are two heroines of the film.  Both Priyamani and Bhavana who were considered earlier have been kept out of contention. A new girl will be paired with Shivanna, while another experienced actress will be selected for the elderly role to be played by the Century Star himself.
Ruchitha Ram the heroine of "Bul Bul' was considered, but later she could not be accommodated because of the dates problem.  Finally three models have been shortlisted out of which one actress has to be selected.
Meanwhile producer and distributor Jack Manju will be distributing the film all over Karnataka.

Mynaa Censored - Releasing on Feb. 22nd

Nagashekhar directed "Mynaa' starring Chethan and Nithya Menon and produced by N.S.Rajkuma has completed its censore formalities on Wednesday. The censor board members who saw the film gave a clean "U" certificate for the film indicating that the film is good for Universal viewing.
"I was expecting either a U/A certificate or even A certificate if some things in the film were considered harsh by the censor board.  There were fights, bloodshed and also murders which were all situational. My previous film "Sanju Weds Geetha' had obtained a U/A certificate because there was an incident regarding the child abuse shown in the film.  But when Censor officer announced that my film deserves a U certificate, I was really thrilled.  Some members appreciated the film and said that the film has to be viewed by all section of people as it shows the courageous way in which a couple beset with problems lead their life' said Nagashekhar.
Nagashekhar said that the film will be released on Feb 22 at Sagar and other screens around the state.

Kiran Govi directed film "Paru wife of Devadas' will be launched today in the Kanteerava Studios and immediately a song picturisation will start featuring the film's hero Kitty and heroine Soundarya Jayamala along with dancers. Three separate sets have been designed for the set, said Kiran Govi in a press meet organised on Thursday afternoon to brief about the film.   He said that he had readied the script two years ago and was hunting for producers after Kitty had Okayed the script.

'Thankfully I got producers like Krishna Deve Gowda and Mukthar who were interested to make a film with a good story content.  Even Krishna wanted to do a film with Kitty and had spoken to him earlier.
Everything fell in place and now we ar launching the film' said Govi. Govi said that though the names of the lead  characters are taken from the classic Sharat Chandra Bengali novel, the characterisation of both Devadas and Paru are different.   Kitty is interested in western music, while  Paru is a Kathak dancer. Devadas is not shown as a person who hits the bottle for quest of love.  Here in this film both Devadas and Paru have identity of their own' said Govi. Govi said that already Arjun Janya has composed music for the six songs of the film.  Five songs are written by my friend Nagendra Prasad and one song is written by Jayanth Kaikini. This film will also prove to be a musical hit like my two previous films "Payana' and "Sanchari'.  I have sat with Arjun Janya for several months to bring out the best tunes'said Arjun Janya.
Kitty said that he got a feel of Sanju Weds Geetha when he first heard the story.   "The script is still strengthened and I am eagerly looking forward to work in this film' said Kitty.
Soundarya said that she has been given a good role to perform.  "I can show my talents in the film' said Soundarya.

Kiccha Starts Dubbing for Bachchan

After returning to Bengaluru from Siliguri playing and winning the first CCL match against Veer Marati team, actor and captain of KBL team Kiccha Sudeep is now busy lending his voice to the film "Bachchan'.  He finished two days of work of dubbing of the film on Tuesday and Wednesday.  The work will continue on Thursday also.
However the film's director Shashank says that the entire dubbing process may be completed only after Kiccha Sudeep returns to Bengalur finishing the second CCL match in Vizag.
Meanwhile, music director Hari Krishna has already completed the re-recording work for the first half of the film and is now closely monitoring the work in the second half.  The digital work of the film is going on in Prime Focus, Hyderabad. One song of the film is to be picturised on Kiccha Sudeep and the film's heroine Parul Yadav. Shashank expressed confidence that the film will be ready for release on April 11.

Century Star Shivaraj Kumar, Power star Puneet Raj Kumar,  Vinay Raj Kumar and his brother Guru led a  a big group of around 43 devotees who left for Shabarimala for the Aiyappa Darshan on Thursday evening.  Many well wishers of  Shivanna and Puneet had also joined the trip which included K.P.Srikanth and director D.P.Raghuram.
In the morning a special Pooja was conducted in Shivaraj Kumar's residence which was supervised by the Senior most member Shivaramanna. It may be recalled that Shivaramanna was a permanent member of  the Dr. Raj Kumar team when  a  big group consisting of  many actors from other languages had also joined.

Pade Pade Movie Review

Surprise after Surprise.  Last week we had youngster Santhosh delivering a moving film "Gombegala Love' which was marked by excellent writing and direction with neat performances from youngsters.  Just a week has passed and passionate film buffs are still savouring the high points of  "Pade Pade'.  With in a week comes "Pade Pade'  direced by Nagaraj Peenya which is certainly cut about the rest of the movies.  It is certainly the best of the three movies released this week.  Director Nagaraj Peenya has showcased his talents in ample measure and proves that you have to watch him for future projects.  Well known producers should also try to tap this talent and give him good opportunities for making his way in the film industry.
Pade Pade is not just a triangular love story, but has several layers.  Already the songs of the film had become huge hits. Adding some curiosity value to the audience,  The posters did look quite differently and the two heroines looked really beautiful on screen.   But what makes the film more appealing to the audience is the way Nagaraj has handled the project.
He has not allowed confusions to develop in script and has used all the commercial elements to raise the tempo of the film.  The songs are well picturised and Nagaraj has set the tone for a riveting climax with many twists.  He has written an intelligent, but yet engaging script
 It is Tarun's best career performance and he has lived to the requirements of the role.  As usual he looks extremely handsome.  He has to portray different shades for the role which is quite impressive. Kannada girl Akhila impresses with her good looks and performances.  She makes a mark. Mrudula is another heroine who has charms and talent to stay further. Character artists like Veena Sundar and Sankesh Kashi have done very well.
Sathish Aryan's music is top class.  Camera work gels very well with the mood of the film.
If genuine Kannada film fans are interested to encourage good and quality oriented films,  then Pade Pade is a must watch.  Even for youngsters it is a good watch for its pleasing visuals and glamour quotient of hero Tarun and the two heroines.

Brindavana is a Family Entertainer

Brindavana director Maadesh says that the film to be launched today will be a family entertainer with both class and mass elements.
There is a right mix of mass and class elements in the film. The role perfectly suits Darshan sir.  Two heroines have been chosen appropriately.  A huge set is being erected with a cost of Rs. One crore in the Abbaiah Naidu studios. This the home of the film's heroine. Sai Kumar, Sampath Kumar, Doddanna, Sadhu Kokila, Sharath Babu, Geetha are in the cast' said Maadesh.
Producer Sreenivasa Murthy said that this is the fifth production from Seetha Bhyraveshwara baner  and third with Challenging Star Darshan.  He hoped that the film will also be a  super hit like their previous film "Gaja'. Suresh  Gowda said that the production will be huge and it is sure to be a treat for Darshan fans.
The film's heroine Karthika came with her mother Radha who was a big star in South.  Radha has also done four Kannada films along with a large number of films in Telugu and Tamil.  Karthika said that she has got a very good opportunity to work with a big star like Darshan and a very good director like Maadesh.  She hoped that her experience would be rosy in the days to come' said Karthika.

Will Not Have Any Birthday Resolutions - Darshan

Challenging Star Darshan who will be celebrating the 36th birthday celebrations  says that he has no resolutions for this birthday.
Not only for this birthday, I have never thought of making resolutions every year.  I will always take life as it comes.  Now, If you say I am enjoying the best period in my life, I would like to ask you one questions. What would have happened if my two previous films had sustained losses and failed in the Box office.  These are all part of the film industry where no one knows what is the best material for success. It is better to carry on with what we get than having big hopes on future' said Darshan in a Chat with Chitraloka Mega Portal.
Darshan was speaking after the conclusion of the press meet of "Brindavna' directed by Maadesh and produced by Suresh Gowda and Sreenivasa Murthy. The producers who are launching the film on Saturday had organised a press meet on Friday night itself to share the information about the film.
Already the news about the legion of fans gathering in front of Challenging Star Darshan's residence in Raja Rajeshwari Nagar was being informed by one of  his friends.   Darshan was to cut the birthday cake at  12.00 P.M. later.
"I have some interesting projects including "Brindavana'. One thing I have to tell about the producers of  "Brindavana' is that they would never think of spending money on what is required.  Even if some additional expenditure is incurred, they would never hesitate in spending the money.   I think "Brindavana' would be made with all the richness that the subject deserves.  Now, a set is being erected in Abbaiah Naidu studio at a huge cost.  My next film will be "Ambareesha' directed by Mahesh Sukhadhare and a new film of Sandesh Nagaraj to be directed by A.P. Arjun.  Arjun has not yet briefed the script of the film and he is working on it.  Sukhadhare's script has been worked out by writer Chinthan who has done a very good job.
"I have to finish three days shooting for "Bul Bul' after which I will participate in the regular shooting of  "Brindavana' from February  23. I will complete my dubbing for "Bul Bul' in March and we propose to release the film on April 26' says Darshan.
"I should have been with the KBL team today and tomorrow.  But the launch of the film and my birthday celebrations have made me to stay put in Bangalore. I hope my Chinnu ( he calls Kiccha Sudeep in that name) and his friends will do well towing the match.  Chinnu is in fine form. Dhruv is also playing well' says Darshan.

Darshan was so happy that he even put the cream of the cake to his friend and now film producer Kadu's face. Crackers were burst in the occasion Producers Sreenivasa Murthy, Suresh Gowda and Ba.Ma.Harish werepresent.Lots and fan associations had brought in colourful birthday cakes which was cut one after the one. The fans had come from all parts of the state and it looks as if Darshan has to spend the whole day with his fans.
