Malayalam actor Prithviraj's ban has been called off by producers association

The ban that was imposed on young actor Prithviraj is called off by the producers association now. As per the agreement reached between Prithviraj and the producers association, the actor has agreed to do another film for the same producer with immediate effect.

The necessary changes that the actor asked for in the script will be made immediately so that Prithvi can start shooting for this movie with Shaji Kailas, once he completes the shooting of his current movie on production 'Mumbai Police' by Rosshan Andrews.

The issues started when Prithviraj denied acting in the movie planned instead of the shelved movie,'Raghupathi Raghava Rajaram' sometime back.

The actor had suggested some improvement in the revised script of the new movie.

The producer had then lodged a complaint with the producers association citing the losses incurred by him.

'Annayum Rasoolum' is the first Malayalam hit of the year

The movie 'Annayum Rasoolum' has emerged as the first hit of the year in Malayalam film industry, the movie has been released in India with subtitles. This pleasant love story has been liked by the young viewers who have listed this movie as the one closest to their hearts.

Directed by Rajeev Ravi, the movie has young star Fahad Faasil and Andrea Jeremiah in the lead.

Meanwhile, Fahad's next three films are already lined up for release in the coming months. V K Prakash's 'Netholi Cheriya Meenalla' in which Fahad plays a double role will be the first to reach the theatres by the first week of February.

The movie will have him as the writer and also as a character that he creates. Shalini Usha Nair's 'Akam' is another movie that will be released in theatres by March.

Also by the first week of this month Lijo Jose Pellissery will have his new flick 'Amen' released. The comedy thriller movie will feature Fahad with Indrajith.

In the month of April Fahad will have two more films, he will be for the first time teaming up with superstar Mohanlal for Salam Bapu's 'Red Wine'. The other movie to reach the theatres, in the same month will be Laljose's 'Immanuel' in which Fahad will unite with Mammootty

Dhanush's next film gets new title

The title of Tamil actor Dhanush's new romantic-comedy "Sotta Vazhakutty" has been changed to "Naiyaandi", according to the director.

"It was earlier titled 'Sotta Vazhakutty' but now it has been changed to 'Naiyaandi' as I found this title more apt to the context of the film," A. Sarkunam said in a statement.

While Dhanush has been finalised to play the male lead, the makers are still hunting for a heroine. The film's other cast members include Parota Suri, Satyan and Lakshmy Ramakrishnan.

"We still are on the lookout for the female lead. The story tracks the events that pave way to hilarious moments in the love story between a lantern selling boy and a soon-to-be dentist girl," he added.

The primary shooting of the film is set to begin from February. It is produced by S. Kadiresan under the banner of Five Star Films.

Meanwhile, Dhanush is about to wrap up shooting for his debut Bollywood project "Raanjhnaa", opposite Sonam Kapoor.

Dhanush, Vetrimaaran to team up again

The interesting and most promising combo Vetrimaaran and Dhanush seem to be back again. The duo who had earlier delivered super hits like Polladhavan and Aadukalam are once again hoping to repeat the magic with a new film this year.

The regular shooting of this film will commence this May while the title and other details of the film are yet to be announced. The film will be made by Cloud Nine and the makers are in search of the cast and crew of the film.

On the other hand, Vetrimaaran is busy with the production films Naan Rajavaga Pogiren and Udhayam of introducing his former assistants.

Vishal’s wish to direct Shruti Haasan

 who has scored a hit with Samar has recently revealed his wish to direct a film. The young hero told that he has scripted a story as well and further informed that he wish to direct Shruti Haasan as she would be the apt for the script.

“I wanted to don direction cap soon for the story I already had. I had Shruti Haasan in my mind while I was penning the script. I’m not sure if it’ll materialize or not though,” says Vishal.

Vishal is currently looking forward for his forthcoming commercial entertainer Madha Gaja Raja with filmmaker Sundar C after which he’ll shoot for Venkat Prabhu directorial.

Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga audio in Feb

With Sivakarthikeyan and Vimal in the lead roles, the upcoming film Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga is progressing at a brisk pace and is nearing completion. Pandiraj of Pasanga and Marina fame is the director of this comedy entertainer.

KBKR casts Bindhu Madhavi and Regina Cassandra as the leading ladies. Besides wielding the megaphone, Pandiraj is also producing the movie along with P Madhan. The audio composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja is set for a launch on 1^st or 3^rd of February while the film will also hit the big-screens in the same month. Currently, the final mixing of music is being carried.

Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga rights have been acquired by production house Studio Green recently.

Nara Rohit, Regina’s film from Jan 24

Nara Rohith has signed up a new film in the direction of Tatineni Satya who shot to fame with Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu and later directed the film SMS.

The film that was announced earlier has now been set for a launch on 24th January. RVCH Prasad will produce the new film, said to be a commercial entertainer and Regina Cassandra will play Rohith’s love interest in the movie.

Meanwhile, Nara Rohith’s Okkadine with Nithya Menon as female lead is set for January end release while the actor is also shooting for his other film Madarasi being directed by Karthikeya.

Ram begins dubbing for Ongole Githa

Energetic Star Ram’s Ongole Githa is slated for a release on February 1 and the film that has wrapped up the shooting formalities is currently under the post-production works. Ram has begun dubbing for his role in the movie.

Director Bommarillu Bhaskar informed that Ram plays an arrogant role in the film and his characterization is going to be one of the highlights of the film. Kriti Kharbandha is playing the female lead pairing up with Ram for first time.

BVSN Prasad is producing the film on Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra Pvt Ltd banner with GV Prakash, Mani Sharma composing the musical scores. Kona Venkat is providing the screenplay for the film. Ongole Gitta is a commercial mass entertainer.

Siddharth, Samantha starrer Jabardasth has reached the final leg of production and the actor who happens to watch the film is all happy about the final output.

No competition with sister Karthika: Thulasi

Actress Thulasi Nair, who will be seen in forthcoming romantic-drama "Kadali", says her love for her elder sister, actress Karthika, won't be replaced by competition.

Karthika is known for films like "Rangam" and "Dammu".

"We may be rubbing shoulders in the same industry but our love for each other will be never taken over by competition. We love each other so much and I always look up to my sister and even take inputs from her whenever needed," Thulasi said.

The 16-year-old is making her debut opposite Gautham Karthik in Mani Ratnam's Kadali, which is about young love in a fishing hamlet.

The film, which releases worldwide Feb 1, also features Arvind Swamy, Arjun, Lakshmi Manchu and Thambi Ramaiah in prominent roles. Oscar-winner A.R. Rahman has composed music for the film, which has cinematography by Rajiv Menon and editing by Sreekar Prasad.

Pawan Kalyan, Trivikram film begins

Jr.NTR, Navdeep shooting for Baadshah

Young Tiger Jr.NTR is busy with the shooting schedules of Baadshah that are progressing at a brisk pace. The climax schedule is set to begun and Navdeep who is roped in for the negative lead role in the film.

Bahadhdhur photo shoot was held on Monday. The film is being produced by Legends International and directed by Chethan who had worked as an associate director for Sarja's debut film "Adhdhoori'.
Speaking to Chitraloka, Bahadhdhur director Chethan said that they had planned the photo shoot for two days and one day's photo shoot is over.  "Now we are doing the second day's  photo shoot on Wednesday where Dhruva will be shown as a Horse rider and do many action choreographies' said Chethan.
Chethan said though they have shortlisted a new girl called Anjali for the role, they are yet to do the screen test for evaluating her performance levels.  "We have not yet thought of  selecting a heroine yet' says Chethan.

Ajith Actess Nikki Galrani - Exclusive

Nikki Galrani sister of well known actress Sanjana Galrani  has now been selected as the heroine for Chiranjeevi Sarja for the film "Ajith' which is being launched on 24th January with a Pooja.   Mahesh Babu is the director of this film which is a remake of Tamil film "Paiyya'.
"Paiyya' directed by Linguswamy is the story about a journey from Bangalore to Bombay where in the hero  has to take the heroine to Bombay.  This journey makes an interesting narration and the film became a super hit. Karthi and Thamanna had played lead roles in the film.

Mahesh Babu who is directing the film says that he had liked the pacy narration of the film and hero's strong characterisation.  "However we have made some changes' says Mahesh Babu.
Meanwhile sources close to the film said that Nikki has been selected in an audition.  Nikki's fluency in speaking Kannadad language also helped her in selection.  "I want a Kannada speaking girl to be part of the film as the heroine's character is also equally important' said Mahesh Babu.
