Malayalam superstar Mammootty to act in Arun Gopi's next movie

After making a huge box office collection with the Malayalam thriller 'Run Baby Run' directed by Joshiy, scriptwriter Sachin-Sethu is now gearing up for his next film with Mammootthy.

This Untitled film will be directed by Arun Gopi. According to the makers Mammootthy's character in the film will have similarties to the role played by him in the movie ' Bavuttiyude Namathil'.

The film talks about importance of family relationships and values and is to be released at the end of year 2013.

'Red Wine': Malayalam movie is set to be released on March 22

 for 'Red Wine' is directed by debutant Salaam Bapu. The shooting of the film is almost complete.

Featuring Aisf Ali and Fahad fazil for the first time together with Superstar Mohanlal, the movie was shot at Kozhikkod, Wayandu and Kochi on a single schedule of 50 days.

Meghnaraj is the heroine in this movie which will kick start its post production from next week at Ernakulam.The film scripted by Mammen K Rajan is produced by Gireesh Lal under the banner Gowri Meenakshi Movies.The movie is expected to be on theatres by the March 22, 2013.

Ajith moves to Dubai for Vishnuvardhan’s next

 and Vishnuvardhan are busy in Dubai with their next untitled film. Also other stars like Aarya, Tapsee and Nayantara are playing the lead casts in this film.Yuvan Shankar Raja again takes the responsibility for music and this film also got some great expectations from Ajith fans.

This new project almost completed most of its shoot in Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore and moved recently to Dubai for its 20 days schedule. Yet again Ajith is looking forward to entertain with his stunts in this new flick as well.

After Billa-2, Ajith got no choice than Vishnuvardhan who just got experience of 6 Tamil movies and a Telugu movie. Both Ajith and Vishnuvardhan were doing desperate attempts to keep their places safe in industry today.

Yuvan says “No Akon!”

 Yuvan Shankar Raja denies all the rumors of bringing Akon into Kollywood. After Ra.One many rumors were spread stating that Akon will be singing in Ajith and Yuvan Shankar Raja’s big venture Valai.

Yuvan without any hesitation denied all the rumors and other sources close to Valai team also confirmed that Akon will not be singing for Valai.

It is not about Money-Vikram

Vikram makes it clear once again that he went to Bollywood not because of money but for his passion. Vikram played a role of a fisherman in Bejoy Nambiar’s David and delivered an eccentric performance along with his co-stars Tabu, Jiva and Isha Sharwani in Tamil, and Neil Nithin Mukesh, Vinay Varmani in Hindi.

Vikram also says he is in no hurry to do another Bollywood film. David is his second film in bollywood, as he has already done a movie Raavan in 2010 under Mani Ratnam direction. Vikram compares the two characters in his previous movies and refers to it as “Special Characters”.

Though both the films were having negative impact, Vikram still expects for interesting characters, so as we do.

Kamal's Vishwaroopam tomorrow

Viswaroopam is ready to hit the screens tomorrow, the 7th February. The advanced bookings for the movie are already finished and the movie is about to be released in record breaking 500+ screens in Tamilnadu.

Screens are getting ready with premiere shows today and as per reports, a special premiere show at Sathyam cinemas today evening will be screened and it is said that Rajnikanth and other Kamal’s friends will be watching it.

Actor-Director-Producer Kamal Hassan, Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar, Rahul Bose, Nasser and Shekar Kapoor are playing the lead roles in Viswaroopam that has music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

RajiniKanth is first to watch Viswaroopam at Home

After its two weeks of delay, Viswaroopam is ready to hit the screens today in Tamilnadu. Kamal Hassan arranged a special screening of the movie at Rajini Kanth’s residence Poes garden through digital screening.

Kamal Hassan showed his token of appreciation through this exclusive digital screening to Rajinikanth. Later, a special premier was held at Sathyam Cinemas Six Degrees which has Auro sound and Jayaram. Prabhu, Suhasini, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Kushboo, Vivek, Karky, Cheran was in the premier show viewers list.

It was Rajinikanth who stood behind Kamal Hassan during Viswaroopam controversy and also played a pivot role in settling this controversy and made his friend feel safe.

Kamal turned into producer for this film and spent a whooping of 95 crores and also played main lead along with Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar, Rahul Bose, Nasser, Shekar Kapoor.Shankar, Ehsan and Loy trio gave their tunes for this film.

Ajith follows Rajnikanth footsteps

Actor Ajith signed another film with “Siruthai” Siva and this new film will start its shoot after the completion of Ajith’s 53rd movie, under Vishnuvardhan direction which is yet to be titled.

Rumors or facts, but the storyline about this movie is already making buzz in industry. In this new film Ajith is going to act as big brother along with “Mynaa" fame Vidharth, Munish, Bala and Sohail. This makes everybody remind of Rajnikanth’s Murattu Kaalai.

Ajith is now busy in Dubai with his next movie under Vishnuvardhan’s direction along with Nayantara, Arya, Tapsee in lead roles in this film. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing tunes while lyrics penned by Kaliban Viramuthu.

Mammootty to star as Kunjali Marakkar

Megastar Mammootty to star in Amal Neerad’s next venture with the title role as Kunjali Marakkar. The film boasts some of the best creative minds of the industry working for it. It is said to br the most expensive film ever made in Malayalam Film Industry.

Kunjali marakkar is scripted by Shankar Ramakrishnan. Santhosh Sivan, whose camers lenses is known to capture the essence of a movie, cranks the camers for this Amal Neerad flick. Rumours are doing rounds that the movies is being produced with a budget of 25 crore.

The ace team of Mammootty, Amal Neerad, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Santhosh Sivan and Prithviraj is expected to come up with an amazing movie. The movie defiitely seems to have everything going for it. The details evoke much expectaions. Kunjalimarakkar is one movie to watch out for. The movie is produced by Prithviraj under the banner of August Cinemas.

I haven't given up on direction:AVS

Veteran Telugu actor A.V. Subrahmanyam, popularly known as AVS, says his last directorial attempts may have failed but he hasn't yet given up on the idea of direction.

"I directed a few films with immense passion but they unfortunately did not do well. But this hasn't made me give up on the idea of making films again. I would like to experiment again, sooner or later," AVS said.

"Direction is a time consuming process, and therefore I don't want to hurry. I'll revisit the idea to direct whenever I find time and, most importantly, I need to have a storyline before I even think of making films," he added.

The 56-year-old has wielded the megaphone for Telugu films such as "Roommates", "Superheroes", "Ori Nee Prema Bangaram Kaanu" and "Kothi Mooka".

Asked if he enjoys direction more than acting, he said: "It has to be acting because audiences have accepted me as an actor and I'm happy being one. Direction is something that inspires me to bring to life an idea or concept hidden deep within me."

"Pavitra" and "Aalasyam Amrutham" are the actor's upcoming Telugu films.

layaraja to record 'Rudrama Devi' songs in London

Director Gunasekhar says music maestro Ilayaraja plans to record songs for upcoming Telugu period drama "Rudrama Devi" with the London Symphony orchestra.

"Since it's a period film, Raja sir insisted that we record the songs with the London Symphony orchestra. He has already composed six songs for the album and we will start recording very soon with the orchestra in London," Gunasekhar, who is directing and producing the film, said.

"Rudrama Devi" is about one of the prominent ruling queens of the Kakatiya Dynasty. Anushka Shetty has been roped in to play the queen in the film.

It has art direction by Thota Tharani, while Neeta Lulla will design the costumes and Sreekar Prasad will do the editing.

The film also boasts a list of international technicians. Gunasekhar and the crew recently travelled to Germany for a trail shoot.

"It's a very prestigious project and I wanted to get everything right before I start shooting. We've roped in international technicians who would help us with the Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) work to bring back long forgotten era on screen to perfection," he said.

Samantha, Bellamkonda Srinivas film from Feb 15

Well-known producer Bellamkonda Suresh’s elder son Srinivas is debuting in Tollywood industry in a new film to be directed by VV Vinayak. Bellamkonda Suresh himself is launching his son by producing the movie under Sri Sai Ganesh Productions banner.

The star producer has finalized a good team and is leaving no stone unturned for making it a lavish movie. Samantha is finalized as the leading lady while Chota K Naidu cranks the camera and Devi Sri Prasad will score the tunes.

A photoshoot has been canned on Srinivas and Samantha earlier, and the regular shoot will begin from February 15 in Hyderabad. Samantha will be seen in a glamorous role in a new look in the movie.

awan Kalyan’s new look in Trivikram’s film

Power Star Pawan Kalyan is busy with the shooting schedules of his forthcoming Trivikram Srinivas directorial, which is shot in and around Hyderabad in the places City Center Mall, Hotel Novotel etc. After the schedule, the team will head to Pollachi for major part of the shoot.

Pawan Kalyan is said to be sporting a distinct look from his previous movies and he is said to have gone for makeover. Touted to be a family entertainer, the yet-to-be titled movie is being produced by Reliance Entertainment and BVSN Prasad jointly with musical scores by Devi Sri Prasad.

Samantha is playing the female lead in the movie while Bollywood actor Boman Irani will play a prominent role.

Iddarammayilatho Spain schedule begins

 casting Stylish Star Allu Arjun in the lead role is currently being shot in Spain. The unit members have flown to Spain for a fresh schedule of shoot after the recent Bangkok schedule. Major part of the film is planned to be shot in Spain, as per the storyline.

Allu Arjun will be seen in the most stylish look in the film, pairing up with Amala Paul and Catherine Tresa. Touted to be a triangular love story, the film is taking shape in the hands of director Puri Jagannadh.

Ganesh Babu is producing the film under Sri Parameswara Arts Production banner. Musical scores are by Devi Sri Prasad and cinematography is by Amol Rathod.

Multilingual actress Priyamani who has won the National award for "Paruththiveeran' transformed into a glamorous actress. She is enjoying her glamorous phase and currently gone down in weight to look more slicker and slimmer.
Now, Priyamani is all set to do an item number in her favourite actor Shah Rukh Khan's new film Chennai Express which has Deepika Padukone as the heroine.
 Earlier  South Indian Diva  Nayanthara was approached for the role, but she  had refused to dance for an item number in the film , directed by Rohit Shetty and co-starring Deepika Padukone.
Priyamani has confirmed that she has been approached for this song but hasn’t divulged more details. Priyamani is a hardcore fan of King Khan and had even expressed that she was receiving the National award in Rashtrapathi Bhavan on the same day her favourite actor was also receiving the award.
 Though Priyamani has already acted in  Hindi film Raavan directed by Manirathnam,the former National Award winning actress will be looking to corner fame and glory in Bollywood with a song opposite the most famous global Hindi star. Since the movie has a Southern flavor, the makers were keen on roping in a Southern Siren and looks like their search has ended with Priyamani.
Priyamani is presently doing a female centric role in a Telugu film directed by Samudra.

Prithviraj to hit the screens with Miya

Prithviraj is getting ready to hit the Malayalam screens once again. Prithviraj to hit the screens with Miya in his new film 'Memories'.Jeethu Joseph's next flick 'Memories' will have Miya as the lady love of Prithviraj. Jeethu's previous film 'My Boss' has received highly positive reviews from the movie goers.

The movie will be produced by P K Muralidharan and Shanta Muralidharan.'Memories' which is expected to be a suspense film will have Prithviraj in the role of a police officer and Miya dons a journalist.  

Miya has a good number of projects to be released this year which include 'Ettekaal Second', '6B Paradise', 'Red Wine', and 'Nayana'.

Jr.NTR, Samantha’s film launch on Feb 13

Young Tiger Jr.NTR’s new film with Samantha as his lady love is set for a launch on February 13. Santhosh Srinivas, who shot to fame with Kandireega is wielding the megaphone for the movie.

Bellamkonda Suresh is the producer of the film. Touted to be a commercial mass entertainer, the film will be made under Sri Sai Ganesh Productions banner with high technical values. Rabasa is the title under consideration.

NTR and Samantha, who have worked earlier for Brindavanam are pairing up for back-to-back films in the direction of Harish Shankar and Santhosh Srinivas. In the meantime, Jr.NTR will wrap up the shoot of Baadshah while he has also shot for a schedule of Harish Shankar movie.

Prem Out From Sudeep New Movie - Exclusive

Well known film producer Nimishambha Chandrashekhar  who has produced hugely successful films like "Karpooradha Gombe', "Annaiah" and "Bindaas' is now making a new film with Kiccha Sudeep which will be mounting the sets after the completion of  K.C.N.Kumar's new film to be directed by Ram Gopal Varma.
The  announcement about the film came in a press meet of "Varadanayaka' in which Kiccha called Prem to announce that he will be directing Chandrashekhar's film.  Speaking at the function, Prem said that the film will be launched on midnight of December 31-1st Jan 2013 in a grand manner.  Later Chandru also sent news items suggesting that his film will be directed by Prem.
But the new year celebrations have just passed and there is no trace of the inaugural function announced by Prem.  Now, the news is that Prem is out of the project and Chandru is searching for a new director. The details of the new set up of director and technicians will be announced shortly.
Prem will be directing one film for Soundarya Jagadish and will be acting in two films for other directors.  Meanwhile, It is also said that Prem has got a nod from Kiccha for a film to be produced under his home banner.
